Arrive at Svalbard

DAY 1  

    Upon arrival at the Svalbard Airport, take the airport transfer to hotel and check in. Longyearbyen, the administrative center of Svalbard, is a tiny Norwegian metropolis. The small Arctic town is inhabited by nature enthusiasts who live in close unity under tough climatic conditions with the High Arctic wilderness right on their doorstep. Longyearbyen is the gateway to the nature-based experiences and the starting point for most adventures in Svalbard!

DAY 2     

Spend this day by learning more about this amazing island with Longyearbyen in a nutshell tour! Two-hour guided trip – the perfect way to get an overview of Longyearbyen. The driver tells you about the major local attractions and history of Longyearbyen. The tour goes near: the local mines, research, town, church and past the global seed vault. There are stops along the way for photography! In the dark period may also be lucky enough to experience the stunning Northern Lights!

DAY 3     

Write a new entry in your travel diary! On this day take part in the world’s northernmost fjord-cruise to the ghost town, Pyramiden, with a chance to experience nature’s own unique lightshow! Svalbard is the only place in the world where it is possible to see the daytime northern lights! This is a redder northern light than what you usually can experience. The guide takes us through the abandoned town and gives us a glimpse back in the history of Pyramiden!

DAY 4    

    On this day take flight to northern city of Norway – Tromso, a lively, beautiful city with arctic history, culture and cuisine, surrounded by mountains, fjords and islands below the Midnight Sun or the Northern Lights. In the afternoon join Historical City Walk tour! Let the guide take you on a tour through Tromso’s history and experience first-hand that the Arctic has more to offer than beautiful nature. Fall in love with a city that thrives where others find it hard to survive!

Have free time to observe this stunning city. In the evening spend time at unique Aurora Chase tour! Based on constantly updated weather and solar activity reports, guides take you to where the chances to see the lights are the highest. A professional photographer will help you to capture the Northern Lights on your own camera!

DAY 6    

Enjoy a full day boat excursion to spot the magnificent aquatic life of the Arctic in Whale Watching tour with Polar Adventures! Enjoy a speedy cruise aboard the fastest boat in the harbor of Tromso. The stories of guide and the spectacular mountain panoramas of Ringvassøy and the Lyngen Alps will keep you entertained on our way to Skjervoy! When we come close to the whales, we stop our motor and wait for them to surface. Make sure you have your camera ready! 

Tromso to Svolvær

DAY 7    

Tromso is a beautiful city between fjords, islands and mountains, with a visible past, a fascinating history, a lively, colorful city center, an inclusive nightlife and numerous attractions. Spend the last day in this unique city. In the evening take Hurtigruten cruise for reaching Svolvær. Explore the beautiful Norwegian coast and visit world-famous fjords, mountains, archipelagos and charming harbors under the Northern Lights or the midnight sun!

DAY 8  

    Norway’s iconic fjords will leave you speechless. So will the variety of the coastline, with natural wonders, charming villages, rare wildlife and fascinating history. Get front row seats to the most incredible light shows on Earth – truly an experience out of this world! In The afternoon reach Svolvær – the largest town in The Lofoten Islands. The city is known for its spectacular location, its connection to the sea, nature and outdoor experiences. The city is characterized by traditional fishermen’s and seafront promenades.

    Ride along sandy beaches, past ancient remnants from the Viking age, on ridges with beautiful views in Icelandic Horse ride tour!
